40-yaer-old Film Festival of Fine Arts

This will have been the 40th year that a filmfestival with a quite unique topic has started its way; That was the Film Festival of Fine Arts. The opportunity was so obvious that I think it was impossible to derail from it. A renowned Art Colony, portrait films about the artists living here, sparkling and high standard film life in the Hungarian Televison, in the Popular Science Educdation Film Studio as well as in the city. So everything was given for the City of Szolnok to start this cultural event. The "Festival" beacuse it was mentioned in a short was was always more than a competition of films. High level fine art exhibitions and cultural events were connected to the festival. Discusssions about fine art, film and the relation of these two different arts. A meeting place of creators, critics, art lovers and their friends.

At the jubilee in September 2010 we will enliven the history of the Festival. We will screen a selection of the winning films. We prepare rich artistic, film and othere cultural programs for the event. We expect filmmakers, films, artists and their friends from every corner of the world. Our leaflet is a call for entries as well as an initiation to lift our spirits for the festival. Please register to our newsletter so that we can inform you about current news.
